MSU Extension - Child & Family Development
MSU Extension’s child and family development services provide tools to help parents and caregivers. Their programs get children ready for school and promote social and emotional wellness and positive behaviors in children and youth.
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a federal program that helps supplement the diets of income eligible individuals and households by providing them with USDA foods at no cost. TEFAP eligibility is based on income and residency. Households must meet the current income guidelines and reside in Michigan. MI Parenting Resource
This free, online program is meant to support caregivers across the state in strengthening their parent-child relationships and gaining new tools for enhancing positive child behaviors.
Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency (OLHSA)
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) – The GRG program provides free services to grandparents living in the same home as related children in kinship care in Oakland, Livingston, and Macomb Counties. Program includes workshops, support groups, home visits, and intergenerational activities.
Oakland County – Public Health Division
The Health Division’s 40+ programs/services focus on preventing the spread of disease; ensuring a safe and clean environment; promoting and encouraging healthy behaviors; preparing for emergencies; surveillance of disease threats; and ensuring accessibility of health services.
